TVS Implements Smart OTP for Web Trading and Mobile Trading
The SmartOTP service for Web Trading and Mobile Trading systems has been implemented at Thien Viet Securities Joint Stock Company (TVS).
Smart OTP stands for "Smart One-Time Password." It is a form of two-factor authentication (2FA) used to secure online accounts and transactions. One factor is the user’s login password, and the other factor is a one-time password (OTP) sent to the user’s registered device. This OTP can only be used once and expires after a short period.
The Smart OTP developed by InnoTech and TVS is installed directly in the user’s securities trading application, eliminating the need to install a separate app. When a transaction requires verification via Smart OTP, the system sends a unique code to the user’s app. The user enters this code to quickly authenticate the transaction.
Smart OTP is also applied to the Web Trading platform through an authentication mechanism between the Web Trading and Mobile Trading platforms, providing convenience even for users trading solely on Web Trading.
